Albuquerque City Councilor Rey Garduño will be presenting at the 8th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference, January 22nd at 3:15pm. The nation’s premier Smart Growth conference will be held in Albuquerque, NM from January 22-24.
Councilor Garduño is an invited as guest of the Local Government Commission, host of the New Partners for Smart Growth Conference.
Councilor Garduño will be a part of the panel discussion titled Green Jobs: Defining Opportunities in Economic Development for a Sustainable Future.
This session will explore best practices for defining green jobs, identifying green jobs locally, customizing job training programs to reflect a greener economy, and ensuring that there is broad access to green jobs and their benefits.
This event will highlight the latest research, cutting-edge implementation tools and strategies, successful case studies, new partners, new projects, and new policies and codes. The conference is expected to attract over 1,000 participants.
