I ran under the clean elections process. I worked very hard to bring about clean elections, now we have shown that it works.
I have a strong commitment to community-based governance - I hold that elected officials are accountable to the electorate, not special interests.
As City Councilor, I will:
Ø Stand up for an open and honest city government;
Ø Work to make our neighborhoods safer by balancing traditional law enforcement with drug and alcohol treatment and prevention programs;
Ø Fight for better transit to address increasing traffic congestion and carbon emissions; and;
Ø Stand up for planned growth so that older neighborhoods aren’t subsidizing sprawl development
Rey has been a strong advocate for Clean Elections Legislation and Ethics Reform.
He's running clean because it's the only way to guarantee the elimination of conflicts of interests.

Thank you, Ray; thank you for being the atypical "progressive" and wasting taxpayer money for a project no one asked for.
And thank you for reminding me why I cannot, in good consciousness, ever vote for a "progressive" again...but hey, at least you got to live the life of Riley while pretending to know what you were doing...
