NOB HILL MAIN STREET ANNOUNCES UPCOMING NOB HILL NIGHTS

Body, Mind and Spirit themed event and auction preview for
Casa Esperanza in Nob Hill Thursday, March 4th 5-9.

From yoga to salsa dancing, healing arts to healing herbs, organic foods to
organic hair care, Nob Hill offers a plethora of opportunities to heal our body, calm our mind and uplift our spirit. Nob Hill Main Street invites the Albuquerque community to explore all that makes Nob Hill the unique jewel in the heart
of the city.

Join Nob Hill Main Street Thursday, March 4th from 5 to 9pm to preview art from community partner Casa Esperanza's upcoming 8th annual Art For Hope auction, and visit participating business and organizations in Nob Hill hosting open houses, demonstrating services and offering specials. Live music and entertainment will be featured at local restaurants and clubs.

About Nob Hill Main Street:The Nob Hill Main Street Organization of Albuquerque, New Mexico is a non-profit grassroots organization consisting of citizens, businesses and allied community organizations that act in concert with local, state and federal government agencies to provide for long-term viability under the aegis of the New Mexico Main Street Program, which has as its origins the National Main Street Program originated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Why I Ran

I am your new City Councilor for District 6.

I ran under the clean elections process. I worked very hard to bring about clean elections, now we have shown that it works.

I have a strong commitment to community-based governance - I hold that elected officials are accountable to the electorate, not special interests.

As City Councilor, I will:

Ø Stand up for an open and honest city government;
Ø Work to make our neighborhoods safer by balancing traditional law enforcement with drug and alcohol treatment and prevention programs;
Ø Fight for better transit to address increasing traffic congestion and carbon emissions; and;
Ø Stand up for planned growth so that older neighborhoods aren’t subsidizing sprawl development

Rey Garduño is progressive in his values, passionate about equality and proven in his service to Albuquerque.

Born and Raised in New Mexico, Rey has lived in District 6 for over 30 years. He has raised his family in District 6, was involved in his son’s schools and ran two local businesses. Rey has spent a lifetime helping to make our community a better place to live and raise our families. Rey is endorsed by progressive leaders from our district and throughout Albuquerque because he has the experience we need and the proven leadership we can trust.
