Albuquerque, NM, February 15, 2011— Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Libraries and Albuquerque City Councilor Rey Garduño invite you to celebrate the new International Collection on Tuesday, February 15, 6 pm to 7 pm. The event will take place at San Pedro Library, 5600 Trumbull SE. Councilor Garduño will present the dedication for the new collection, followed by live music, food and the change to borrow items from the new collection.

“Libraries are a vital service that the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County provide to the area” said City Councilor Rey Garduño. “I believe it’s important that we empower our communities with resources and this collection allows literature to reach more people in the community, especially in the International District.”

In 2009 voters approved a City GO Bond to fund library materials for the International District. ABC Libraries is proud to launch this fabulous new collection, featuring materials for both adults and children, written in Spanish, French, Arabic, Vietnamese and Mandarin languages.
